Unplug the RV and unbolt the unit from the roof. Lift it off carefully and scrape away all old silicone for a clean seal.
Removing an old AC depends on the model, but most are held by four bolts through the mounting gasket. After lifting the old unit down, clean off the old silicone completely to ensure a watertight seal. This prepares the roof for the new RecPro AC installation and gasket alignment.
